A welcome to our visitors PIETRO MALAGUTI A huge thank to everybody for visiting my website. First of all, I need to apologize with you, for the fact that the website is mostly written in italian. It has been designed and thought to be navigated by italian people and this is the reason why I wrote it in my language. Anyway you can find several website devoted to the highland bagpipe in english.. I began to study the bagpipe in 1975, initially by myself, after six years of studying the flute at Bologna conservatory. I'm actually interested into piping and Scotland and everything involving scottish heritage and history. My teachers (I was playing with them in Italy) were: piper and composer Roddy MacDonald, Pipe-Major Willie Cochrane, and many other friends who let me to develop and enhance a deep knowledge of the instrument. I'm defintely one of the oldest piper in Italy. I have just a couple of good old friends who play the pipes since '70ies. One is the very best friend Roberto Bravin of Venice, a good and enthusiastic piper. I'm now organizing a cultural society and own a piping school for new pipers. I've been present in many events, weedings, and - fortunately - a I'm appreciated as piper even by Scots people!
